Vintage Rose (OOTD)

AYO hello everyone! Long time no see!

Last week was my Spring Break, and I decided it was time to get back into the swing of things. As much as I adore my roommates and best friends here at school, we definitely encourage lazy behavior when we’re together (which is 97% of the time). Therefore, I completely fell out of the routine that saved me last spring when I was feeling down. I stopped trying with my appearance and, with that, I stopped maintaining this blog. This definitely affected my self-confidence significantly. Over my break, I realized that I needed to work on building myself up again. The journey to complete self-love and acceptance is never-ending, and I can’t slack or my mental health suffers.

So here’s to living a happier and healthier life.

So how about this ADORABLE dress, eh? I love it’s faded/worn look, and it’s in my trusty, go-to silhouette. It’s a super flattering cut and pattern, and I feel HELLA cute in it. I threw on a light, cream cardigan to complete the look and add some warmth. Also it looks pretty schnazzy wrapped around my waist. I paired these pieces with my trusty black leggings and black combat boots, folded down for extra flair.

Frozen Forest (OOTD)

It has been freaking freezing here the past week, so I’ve been just wearing as many layers as possible so I don’t turn into a popsicle on my way to class. But today I had some extra time to get ready, and I decided enough was enough. I wanted to look cute dammit! So I wore 3, yes three pairs of leggings under this dress. That plus my go to slouchy cardigan and I was actually super warm!

I’m glad I finally got to wear a dress; it was a spirit booster for this already drab week. And I just love this shade of green. It’s a tad bit washed out in the pictures because of all the natural light from the window, but trust me, it’s gorgeous.

I’ve got a couple of posts lined up for this week! Two makeup ones and then a short story review. So keep your peepers open!!!

How are you dressing for this freezing weather? (or your nice mild weather. I’m looking at you west coast. >.>)

Bookish Uniform (Bland OOTD)

Behold my I’ve-been-reading-nonstop-therefore-no-time-to-look-like-I-care outfit. I got books for christmas, so of course I’ve been going and going since then. I’ve finished 3 books since christmas, each book being well over 400 pages… Hey, there’s much worse things I could be doing, right?

So lately I’ve just been cooped up in my room, switching back and forth between youtube, tumblr, and books, and it’s been absolutely perfect. And this has been the perfect outfit for such activities! The cardigan is super warm, and I can take it off and still be comfy. The yoga pants are an obvious choice, and this pair from Old Navy are the absolute BEST. No seriously. Go get you some.

Anyway, this was more of an update post than a outfit one. Although I’ve been reading quite a lot, I’ve also been updating this blog pretty regularly, and it makes me feel productive.  So here’s a short post to make me feel good. Now back to reading!

What I Wore:

T shirt: Target
Yoga Pants: Old Navy

Happy New Year!!

Nerd Alert (OOTD)

Here’s just a cozy saturday outfit. I got both the nerd shirt and the orange cardigan for christmas and couldn’t resist wearing them asap. Both fit like a dream, and the cardigan is one of the most comfortable things I’ve ever worn. I have one in black as well, and I can tell these are going to become highly worn items. And of course, no outfit would be complete and comfortable for me without black leggings and combat boots.

I was going to post my christmas eve church outfit, but it’s basically the same as my interview outfit from September. I had a pretty low key holiday, I spent it with my family opening gifts and feeling the christmas cheer! Then friday night I got together with some close friends and exchanged gifts and hung out. It was super laid back and tons of fun!

So how was your christmas? What are your plans for the new years?

Happy holidays!!
xoxo Gigi.
